Luanda, March 7, 2026 – Angolan President João Lourenço has expressed deep sorrow following a tragic road accident in Munenga, Cuanza Sul province, which claimed more than 20 lives and left dozens injured. The accident occurred when a passenger bus traveling from Huambo to Luanda overturned on the EN‑120 highway.
In a statement, the Head of State conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and urged authorities to provide urgent medical care to survivors. He emphasized that the government is committed to investigating the causes of the crash and improving road safety measures to prevent similar tragedies.
